THE POWER OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. (1)

Hello great men of God peace be with you all. Today am here once again to share with you the word of God. The power of righteousness.

Biblical terminology used to denote the term righteousness is from one basic word. The Hebrew word for righteousness is " tsadiq " and it is translated by the Greek as " " dikaiosune ". It takes various forms bothvin the LXX (OT) and N.T. The Bible clearly reveals the nature of God as righteous.

Therefore His Law is righteous and He alone credit righteousness to man. The dikaiosune is slightly differentiated from the tsadiq. This is because the tsadiq was accorded to man based on their deeds such as refusing to eat some kind of food, forbidding idolatry etc. But dikaiosune comes only by faith

Romans 6:15-21

"What then? shall we sin, because we are not under law, but under grace? God forbid."
"Know ye not, that to whom ye present yourselves as servants unto obedience, his servants ye are whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?"
"But thanks be to God, that, whereas ye were servants of sin, ye became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching whereunto ye were delivered;"
"and being made free from sin, ye became servants of righteousness."
"I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye presented your members as servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity, even so now present your members as servants to righteousness unto sanctification."
"For when ye were servants of sin, ye were free in regard of righteousness."
"What fruit then had ye at that time in the things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death."

In this case, our material sacrifices does not depict our righteousness but the faith we have in Christ as the one who arose from the dead on the third day. The belief and the confession one makes regarding Jesus as the saviour grants one the grace to obtain the seed of righteousness

Romans 10:9-10

"because if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved:"
"for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

God demonstrates His righteousness perfectly in the propitiatory death of His son. His death on the cross was ordained by God and is in conformity with His character and accomplishes God's righteous plan for sinners.

I no longer dwell on the restriction of the law. I live in the power of righteousness that comes through faith in Christ Jesus. Amen.....
