Sbd Conversions or Sell
We in the Steemit Community are faced with some tough choices today, whether to sell SBD for steem and power up, or just sell. Lets look at the options. 
SELL
- You send it through blocktrades or bittrex= Here you can go to coinbase, or buy other cyrptos, but you lose on increasing your vote.
CONVERSIONS : You have a couple more choices.
The internal market=problems, not enough liquidity as of late, and sometimes not the best price. Hands down when working the easiest way to do it.
Blocktrades = they are great, send the the sbd, and you get steem. Never have had a liquidity issue. Only thing is sometimes might not be the best conversion rate.
Of site exchange= Polo stinks, and bittrex is good. I usually go between bittrex or blocktrades, which ever one has the best conversion at the time. Bittrex does take a lot longer, and you have to go to bitcoin, then back to steem. Sometimes getting the orders filled takes a bit, because they are changing so fast. Also slight risk of you screwing it up with the addresses.
The main point I want to make, is if you are converting check around on the prices, you can sometimes save some money.

Personally, I've been using SBD for post promotion. At current values, if I do it right, I am potentially getting maybe 5-10% more SBD than I throw down, plus the extra Steem Power (due to 50/50) and some visibility. Minnow problems!!!!:)
Ya, I have been doing it for post promotion too, sometimes you get great returns, I don't post promote thought after a big fall in price, because the vote they give you goes down, and you have a greater chance of losing money than.
The convenience and low cost of the internal exchange are well worth any small price hit I may take. To me, at least.
Ya, it is way more convenient, but I had 100 sbd and internal market did not have the much. So I went to bittrex, and got 5 more steem.

Ya, I have been powering it up. I sold some to get my initial investment back.
Ya you mentioned the best principles to get benefits. If we follow the above rules we can't loose we will grow
