There is a lot of wear and tear by them main pole supports that you disregarded But actually for the price you are paying this is not acceptable You can get lighter aluminum tripod stools for much less money And the same weight steel stools for a fraction of the money
I use exactly the same Walkstool for sketching. Really solid and simple design, far better than wet benches or hard rocks ... I tried a cheap noname-model before which collapsed under my weight ;-) With this one I feel safe. And it is easy to clean (sand/dust) when you just slide the legs out. Happy painting! and hunting.
