Luan catching his first fish.

When Luan saw his father he said, oh did you enjoy your day as much as we did, we had a wonderful day. 

His father said, of course I did, who would not enjoy playing golf. 

Son if you ever want to play, you must tell me and I will start teaching you. I know you do sport at school but this might be something we can do together, just like your mother and you do fun things together. 

That does sound very nice I will definitely let you know, but I am a bit scared that I might just disappoint you.  Oh son not everyone is good at everything, but before you try, you will not know. Believe me you can never disappoint me as everyone has something he is good at, and what you know about animals I must still learn.

So never think because you are not good at something it means disappointment to me, you do so many other things that I am proud of.

He carried his father’s golf clubs into the garage for him and said we had a wonderful day you will not believe how difficult it is to make marbles.

Really, I thought it was easy.  No father it is a very hot there and they are made from glass and have to be melted. I will tell you all about it at dinner. They went into the house and the table was laid, his mother gave his dad a beer to drink with dinner and they all started talking about their day. 

Luan explained in detail how it works to make marbles and his father said it does sound so interesting. He showed his dad the hot oven they use to melt the glass is and some more pictures he took.

His father said these are very nice pictures, and they are for sure not easy to make it seems to me.

Later after cleaning up the kitchen they watched some television and then Luan went for his bath and got ready for bed. He later said goodnight and his mother read to him from the children bible and he said goodnight and fell asleep.

That night he dreamt about his forest and how he was going to catch some fish. 

The next morning, just after having his breakfast he took his fishing rod, binoculars and went into the forest. He also had his basket with him that his mother packed for him every day.  

He had some bait in a bag and decided he would try to fish just like he saw them doing on the boat.

He stood up and through in the first time, this was a bit short and he railed in and then tried again. This time he was successful and just sat there holding his rod. He did not really think he was going to catch anything. To his surprise his rod bent and he knew he had something. 

This was such a wonderful feeling and he slowly started reeling in the line. What a beautiful fish he had caught. He so wished he could show his parents but decided to take a picture before he put it back into the water. 

He just knew then that this was going to be such a nice day. Slowly some of the animals who knew him started coming nearer and he was pleased as he really missed them a lot. 

They were playing near him and he just sat watching them after he had put his fish back in the water very carefully. 

There were rabbits and deer as well as the most beautiful chameleon.

He stayed to watch the monkeys and they were very funny, it seemed as if they were waiting for him to feed them, but he did not as he had decided to only do this once a week.

The water from the river or stream looked so nice and he was very hot so he decided to swim and then pack up to go home. It was incredible how fast a day passed here in the forest as this was his happy place, and it just went by without him realising how fast. It was starting to get dark and he had to move fast as he knew his mother would not be happy with him if he came late, and she would also be worried. 

When he got home they were waiting for him and said was your day any good. 

Oh father I caught a fish and took a picture for you to see before I put it back in the water. It is such a wonderful feeling to feel that fish on the hook.

I can now understand why everyone on the boat was so excited. 

His mother sent him to wash himself and come and have dinner with them. 

He really was hungry and rushed to clean up so that he could enjoy his meal. His mother makes the most wonderful food and after a day in nature it is as if you are hungrier than normally.

Later he and his dad played carpet bowls again just before he went to bed. He really enjoyed it and his father was teaching him a few tricks so that he stood a chance to win.
