DFS DRAWING BOARD - NFL Week 8 - Tight Ends
Last article of the week, let's get ready to go. We are just hours away from kickoff of Week 8 and need to round out our lineups with the tight end position. My strategy this week, like most will be to try to find cheaper value at tight end so that I can spend up at other positions. So let's get into it.

This is a no bullshi*t article and by that I mean the players and plays I suggest are those that I will be using in my personal lineups. Nothing is excluded. We intend to win. The goal is to make great lineups, win money, and share our success stories. With that being said, here are my top plays at the tight end position for Week 8. Enjoy, upvote, and comment on your weekly outlook.
TIGHT ENDS
O.J. Howard - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
$3,900 / at CIN / TB + 3.5
Howard by far is my favorite tight end this week. Since Winston took over as QB, he has targeted his tight ends a ton including Howard. Cincinnati has been pretty bad against the pass this and also ranks towards the bottom of the league against the TE position. At just $3,900, Howard checks all boxes for me, cheap, decent usage and targets, matchup, and a high total game.
Travis Kelce - Kansas City Chiefs
$6,800 / vs DEN / KC - 8.5
Should you elect to pay up at TE, Kelce is your man. He is one the most targeted and consistent TEs in the league in a highly explosive offense. KC is a heavy favorite this week at home but still project to score a boat load of points. Kelce has excelled all year and is one of Mahomes top targets. He hasn't scored less than 11 points in any single game and has 3 games over 20 points (including a 30+). If you can afford it, Kelce gets you the talent of a receiver at TE in a high scoring game.
Jimmy Graham - Green Bay Packers
$4,700 / at LAR / + 7.5
The line on this game keeps getting tighter, indicting money is coming in pretty heavy for Green Bay. I mentioned how much I like Rodgers in my QB article, and Graham is a great pairing with him. The Rams defense is legit, so there is risk, but for most of my Rodgers lineups I will be squeezing in Graham.
Those are really the only 3 TEs I am considering this week. The goal this week is to largely spend down at TE and try to fit more expensive RBs. As always, good luck out there and let's win some money!

I love Vance McDonald and CJ uzomah this week. Howard is a great pick too. Cincinnati has been bad vs the tight end for years.

Sorry for late response. Yea, this week was relatively weak for tight ends. I pretty much played only Howard for his cheap price and high target volume.

Huge faceplant for me in the tight end area. I had Vance everywhere. I did win cash games with Connor, gurley and Lindsay though 😀

Haha happens. I had a lot of Aaron Rodgers in a bunch of lineups and those didn't do well. But overall Conner and Peterson did awesome for me and saved a ton of my lineups. Ive avoided paying up for tight end on most slates, they are too hard to predict, I'd rather spend money elsewhere and hope I can get 8-10 points out of a guy under 4k.
