I have said it before, the snow is such a powerful beauty/aesthetic enhancer to any scene. And it has a way of making things much more visible than when there is no snow on the ground.. like heavily used animal trails... or old derelict structures... or the animals themselves! Reflected light and monotone colors make it easy to spot a lot of different things in light snow. But once the snow gets to deep, it could begin to have the opposite effect..
