Daily Bread Bonus: You Have A Specific Role

Hello All,

Lately, I have been having trouble sleeping.

It's just a phase I'm going through because things have been a little bit stressful in my life lately.

I am aware that everything will be all right again, but until then all kind of thoughts are running through my head, every single night, while I'm trying to fall asleep.

My wife is not happy about that at all because I often wake her up to share the ideas that come to my mind.

But now, let me share one of those thoughts with you.

It's related to every person's calling, including myself.

One night, I just couldn't help but wonder: Am I living a life worthy of Christ's calling?

As Christians, we are called to serve the Lord, always and at all times, with all the love.

We were created in a unique and special way by the Lord.

Maybe you cannot believe, but every person has a specific role in this universe.

The Lord, in His plan, wrote to everyone, a role that they must exercise in their life.

Easy to say hard to do.

I meet many scared, sad, abusive people because they do not know this role or better said their own call.

First of all, I want to explain that we are talking about the general call and the special call.

The general call is to please the Lord, live and be like Him.

The special call is specific to each individual, that is, each person, according to their gift with which they were endowed, and works for the completion of the general call.

And now comes the question: How can I know what my call is?

We are often tempted to compare ourselves with others, falling into disappointment, and sadness.

We see others as preaching, evangelizing, singing, and we want to be like them.

We often forget that we all have special gifts, made by God to be of use to others and the widening of His Kingdom.

The problem is that we are not looking for them, but we remain depressed, letting our hearts be darkened by disappointment and fog.

We forget that what one can do, we cannot and vice versa.

Every man has his own way and it's his duty to discover his way. Many Christians engage in various works without the Lord's approval that their place is there.

We cannot live in this chaos.

"11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up" (Ephesians 4: 11-12)

So, first of all, I must say that it requires a state of humility, obedience, guidance, introspection, light, and desire to seek this own way.

It will not be easy, but with the Lord, our mind will be enlightened, and we will know in what direction we are going.

In order to know our own calling, we must learn to be at His disposal. Many times, we ask in prayer to be like Jesus.

We do not realize that we are actually asking the Holy Spirit to do the work in us.

Let's let ourselves be guided by Him to find our destiny. And here, the ultimate destiny is His Kingdom.

But each one of us has a fate for us to reach its ultimate goal.

It takes time, prayer and patience, so that things calm down and take shape. It cannot be all at once.

Step by step, the Lord will guide us all.

But for this, I advise you to look for your own calling, which will echo in His kingdom.

Don't forget: what moves your heart... that is your calling, and you'll find what you want only by searching for it.
