PROMOTING STEEM: INTRODUCING STEEMIT TO MY COLLEAGUES AT MY WORKPLACE

Hello steemians, yesterday I with the help of @sadiqxylo undertook a massive steemit promotion exercise at our place of attachment, which is the tamale Technical University.

Looking at all the tertiary institutions in the northern part of Ghana, Tamale Technical University is still the only tertiary institution without any active members on steemit.

We therefore saw this opportunity to educate them more on this wonderful platform, which will go on to grow our user base, should they be active and also promote to their colleagues in the university.

We took advantage of one of their computer labs, and with a projector present in this lab, made our work very easy.

Prior to this meeting, I had already sent the layout of the Achievement1 task into our WhatsApp group for them to glance through and write before our meeting.

---

I guided them through the account creation proceed and everyone created successfully.

---

However most of them found it difficult to write the achievement1 task I had asked them to write prior to our meeting, so during my presentation, I projected my achievement1 task for them to use as a guide to write their achievement1. They did very well.

I then took them through the common communities like steemghana, promosteem and cryptoacademy. I also taught them the essence of using tags and also how to look out for and participate in contest.

Surprisingly, most of the people I signed up were ladies and this was because they were those serious during the presentation.

Apart from this, my major concern is mostly on ladies, since from my experience of signing up newbies, the ladies tend to be more consistent on the platform.

We have scheduled to take them through their achievement2 post after we decide on an agreed date.

Let’s continue to make this platform famous by continuing to grow our user base.
