[Poem - With Audio] Your Eyes

Love, do you realize what sweet
comforts your gaze holds for me?

Let me tell you…

In your eyes I find such
peace, and an invitation to rest.

When you watch me quietly, it’s
as though you held me gently.

I feel a quiet intimacy, a warm and cozy
closeness with you in those moments.

As your eyes embrace me.

There’s more…

I know that you see beyond surfaces,
And have insights born of much looking.

I have watched your eyes, and I’ve
Glimpsed what depths lie within you...

I’ve seen them touched by remembered
Pains, and watched hurts called from
Your memory sadden them.

I’ve seen your eyes flash with the power
Of your feelings, as you’ve spoken to me
with force and conviction!

And I’ve watched with joy when your eyes
Have brightened with sudden laughter!

Love, your eyes hold more things
than can be simply named, and I cherish the
discovering of them...
