Man's search for meaning
Hands down this could easily be the best book I have read so far. Nietzsche's piercing words, "He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how", gets your mind blown and thinking, questioning why you are here in the first place. Then the whole concept of existential vacuum (a feeling of emptiness and meaninglessness) comes in to torment your spirit...because like me you sometimes feel like nothing matters anymore. He ends with this life credo of, "Live as if you were living already for the second time and as if you had acted the first time as wrongly as you are about to act now!"... Nothing can stimulate a man's sense of responsibility more than this maxim, which invites him to imagine that the present is past and, second, that the past may yet be changed and amended. Thanks Viktor Frankl, may your words remain forever in me!
