Origami: Eagle with fish.

I don't often make birds. I think the "Oh, can you make the flapping crane!" requests sent me far from the simple and elegant folds of those first models. But on that day, while I sat in a coffee shop called Big Mike's on Fry Street in Denton Texas this bird visited me while I was pondering my classes.

I would love to have some sort of romantic story based on this one, but nope. Its just a cool model of a bird with a fish. Like many of my impromptu models I don't even remember how i got to the point it became a bird or if it was every supposed to be one. The fish was completely an accident the model only had one foot...one really long foot. So with some quick folds I was able to make it look like a little screaming fish. Which I think you will agree, really makes the model special.
