Grand Teton National Park

A beautiful winter morning begins in Grand Teton National Park. This photo is made from the iconic Snake River Overlook. In 1942 Ansel Adams setup his large format camera in this very spot and created one of his most famous images. It is the photograph that all others created here are measured against and people come from all over the world to see it (and photograph it) for themselves. I remember when I first saw Adams’ interpretation of this scene and there is no doubt that it has a role in why I decided to pursue photography. And no matter how many times I travel past this scene I always want to stop and make a picture. Follow @beukaya for more from Wyoming and around the globe
