Vitamin C and the Eye
The eye is one of the most sacred organs within our entire system, not because it is so much important that any because everything works together for us to function as a whole being however the eye is the window through which we envision this world, the pathway to perception and appreciation of nature's beauty. Which is why it is that much important for us to make efforts to always keep it well.
So for today as part of our regular lessons, we would be looking at one component of the things we ingest which turns out to be very very good to the eye and why this is so. But before we move into this discussion though, we would like to know how you all are doing? We hope you are all having an amazing time and enjoying yourself and life as it comes.
Why Vitamin C
There are lots of vitamins out there and scientifically speaking there all having important roles to play and more than one does a whole lot of good for the eye including Vitamin A without which one may suffer from what we term as night blindness. Vitamins serve as antioxidants to the body and out of them all vitamin c has been proven by research to be the most potent antioxidant when it comes to the eye.
For the entire system though, that title may be given to glutathione. Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin and has one of the most popular functions of accelerating healing within the body. For eye it mobs up free radicals that arise as a result of the high metabolic processes that goes on to enable as see, especially with regard to the retina and the crystallin lens. And so it directly protects our retina integrity and our lens.
Research has also shown that individuals who take in vitamin c daily through the majority of their lifespan tend to beat the cataract formation process and may go through life without developing cataracts or it ever maturing to any point that may have a significant impact on their vision. Vitamin C also helps with the senile process of vision loss and the development or progression of age-related macula degeneration.
Thus we recommend that you make regular intake of vitamin C a habit for the benefit of your eyes. If you cannot get the fruits you may get the supplement from the pharmacy, it works the same way however we would recommend getting the fruits and vegies filled with it. Some fruits you may try are oranges, strawberries, pineapple, guava, kiwi, mango, pear etc.
Conclusion
It is our hope that through our lessons shared today you would make the effort to patronize more fruits and make more efforts towards consuming more vitamin c for the benefit of your health and your eye sight generally. We hope that you enjoyed today's session and we hope to see you here again.
Thanks for your love and support and care and for taking your time to read what we had to share with you. Stay safe and have a wonderful time.
