Ocular Hygiene

Our topic today is on ocular hygiene. Yes we know you like taking your bath atleast twice a day and that you take good care of your eyes. But when we talk about ocular hygiene is not only about keeping bacteria away from the eye, no, it goes beyond that.

Ocular hygiene includes seeking the right care for your eye when needed. Wearing your spectacle prescription as given by your optometrist, use of ergonomics at your office and at home, on your fon and your laptop to ease the stress and burden on your eyes.

The first question we would like to ask is when is the last time you visited the eye clinic? The next one to consider is are you practicing good ocular hygiene? How often do you stress your eye? Do you use drugs not prescribed by your optometrist on your eye?

If after answering these questions you realize you are not doing it right then is time to do it right. Thus is our lesson for today. Do it and do it right, practice ocular hygiene and be an advocate of it and together we can spread the news.
