Using Steemit on a mobile phone, slow as hell lately

While I use my desktop to do most of my writing I also use my phone to do a lot of curating and commenting. I access the site through the chrome browser.

Lately it has become unuseable, it takes 5+secs for a page to load a page. I have downloaded esteem which is a pretty good app that you can use to interact with steem. But I have had some problems with that as well and more importantly not everyone knows about it so most are still stuck with the slow loading mobile browser, which is going to put a lot of people off steemit. In fact the price has been falling for around the same amount of time I have noticed the site been slow. Probably coincident.

I know that the devs are working on a naive app, any eta on that? Are they also working on improving use in a mobile browser?

Any advise on what I can do on my end to improve use?
