ICC suspended Sri Lankan Cricket
Sri Lanka performed really bad in the world cup and they ended at 9 th position , but still 3 more games to go in the first round. The political situation was very hot during last few days due to Sri Lanka Cricket Board. There are two sides , Some party is trying to take advantage of the failed of the cricket team to take the power of Sri Lankan cricket team with the help of the government. Sri Lankan cricket team is an independent institute and government have no power to make any type of influence to this independent body which is regulated under ICC. Due to the actions of the Sri Lankan government , today ICC decided to suspend Sri Lankan Cricket Board with immediate effect.

In a statement released on Friday night, the ICC said that the SLC had breached its obligations as a member, in particular the requirement to manage its affairs autonomously and without government interference. In its statement, the ICC said: "The conditions of the suspension will be decided by the ICC Board in due course." The ICC Board is set to meet on November 21, after which the future course of action is expected to be clearer.Sri Lanka is scheduled to host the ICC Under-19 Men's Cricket World Cup across January and February 2024.. source
I'm sad and happy about this news at the same time. This suspension will make SL cricket strong as the corrupted people should leave SL cricket alone. It was just a business last few years. Total school cricket system developed was broken and team selection was very suspicious according to the sources. I think this will bring the Sri Lankan cricket to the right path.
