Vidme folded and I'm not sure how popular Minds is.
Then again I wish I would have got in on the IPO for Kin.

Kin is a fortune waiting to happen. I know a ton of young people who use that kik for communicating. It was up 20% yesterday.

I read the blog and Minds doesn't reveal which blockchain they will be using. I wonder if they're going to use Steem and SMTs.
They could also use the Ethereum blockchain. Remember, with Solidity the Ethereum blockchain has it's own programming language, has a framework for custom tokens build in and could easily tweaked to do everything needed without reinventing the wheel. And with Ether a currency to trade for fiat money.
But having said that: I fully expect the “Not Invented Here” syndrome to kick in once more and have Minds developers create there very own currency from scratch instead of building on an existing technology.
