FA introduces a winter break in the Premier League

The England Football Association has agreed to introduce a winter break in the Premier League, the Times reported. The innovation will start operating in the 2019/20 season. The changes are also expected to remove the replay of matches for the Cup of the country. The FA leadership is convinced that this decision will improve the performance of English clubs in European tournaments and national team meetings. The pause is scheduled for the beginning of February and will last for about two weeks.
