Hello friends, how are you doing today? I know we are all doing good. I will be participating in the engagement challenge contest of steem Venezuela entitled A meeting between Steemians.

This is actually a good one since meeting together with fellow steemians can be very encouraging and upbuilding.

I am going to mention 3 meetings with steemians on different occasions.

This meeting was just done few days ago. It has always been our culture in Uyo City, the capital of Akwa Ibom State. The venue of the meetup was Doctors mess. It is a place for relaxation and cooling off. So we arranged to have the meeting there.

For me and my family, we baked some cookies for light refreshments to go along with it. We had several steemians in attendance, @mesola, @ngoenyi, @fortwis09 @nsisong99,@eliany, @ddwosky and many others. We discussed about the currents development in steemit and the need for engagement. The current steemit engagement contest was emphasized on and all were told to embrace and participate in the challenge. We all were reminded of the need not to restrict ourselves to any particular community but to move around and get the best out of the platform.

All were reminded to be actively engaged in the platform whether they are receiving votes or not, bearing in mind that support and recognition will definitely come one day.

We took this steemians meeting to another level. We know that steemit is a social media platform, implying that we can make friends too. So this time we went beyond talking and went a little bit further. This time we organized a little sporting activity, that of playing football amongst steemians.

It is a lovely and bright evening, we all came to the field. @ngoenyi bought and printed steemit jerseys. By the time the steemians wore these jerseys, everywhere was just coloured with steemit. The pictures below tells a lot about it.

It was a beautiful sight to behold. The adults, children, boys, girls, men and women all played alike. It was truly fun. That attracted so many admirers who wanted to know what steemit was all about. We had steemians on ground to answer all their questions and registered them all.
That was a wonderful way of advertising and promoting steemit.

The third meeting I would like to mention was during the steemkids year end Party. It was an opportunity to entertain the kids for their contribution in the steemkids community. Majority of the steemkids within the environs turned up and all enjoyed themselves.

This was so special to us because kids were involved. We made the kids play around at the park, enjoy popcorns, sweets and even enjoyed sweet cakes and foods prepared for them. Many of the kids do not have such opportunities, but here they were running around joyfully. That alone made it unique.

Conclusion

Steemians meeting together is very important. It is an avenue by which we learn from the experiences of older ones in the platform. We can learn about persistence, how to make quality and original content and how to move our steemit business forward. Thank you for organizing this beautiful contest.
