Steem thought - The Steem Ship

The Steem Ship has not sailed

When I talk to people about Steemit, I've been getting a lot of enthusiasm that seems to be tempered with a touch of disappointment. When they see the market cap and Steem price, they seem to think that once again, they've missed the boat......the Steem Ship has already sailed. Here are a few points i've often made that seem to make a difference;

1. Steemit is still in beta. This is huge! Steem has achieved it's present valuation without even being the fully refined article.
2. Steemit is making use of the Steem blockchain. It's almost certainly fair to say that we've seen a tiny fraction of the scope of possible uses to which we can put the Steem blockchain. Imagine the value of Steem when hundreds or thousands of valuable services are being run off of the Steemchain?
3. Look at the market cap valuations of the big centralized social media platforms. If Steemit achieves 10% of Facebook it will have a market cap of 40 billion. That's over a 1000 times the current Steem market cap. What do you imagine the price of Steem will be then?
4. An investment in time and creativity now....let's say over the next 3 months.....even if you only earn a total of $50 a week (powered up,) could be worth many thousands within 3 years. Why would you not give it a whirl?
5. How much time do you spend on other social media platforms NOT being compensated?!?
6. We are all still early adopters.

The Steem Ship has most definitely not sailed future Steemers. It is presently being tested and built upon with the best engineers and outfitted with the best materials, so that when we do set sail, it will change the course of history and journey further than we can presently imagine.
