Hanging in there, the end is in sight!
When both you and your partner are both freelancers and have kids and live far far far away from relatives, there can be some disastrously busy moments. When work takes over all the weird times, the kids start to get sick of babysitters, too much take away food or hastily cooked attempts at food....
These last few weeks have been a crazy busy time for the both of us, and it is starting to reach the point where we are both ready to drop, although I don't think the kids know it...
My wife has been the one that's been mostly away, getting back really late in the evenings after rehearsals and concerts and she looks pretty over it! I think she's also looking forward to spending some time at home, and perhaps spending some time with the kids! At least I am, as I've been pretty much keeping the same schedule, whilst sketching out posts while on trains.
Next week promises a much needed slowing down, a moment of rest that every freelancer welcomes and fears!
Just gotta power on through!
