BREAKING NEWS: Steemit and Tron!

I just saw a tweet from Justin Sun... but when I clicked through it was already deleted. But I did manage to catch the Medium Link though!
This is a bit of a new development and a hint of sunshine for those of us who have stuck around through thick and thin! Mostly thin... on the financial side, but thick on the community and bonding side of things!
I'm a bit up in the air about the Tron ecosystem, but on the other hand having a big partner to bring new eyes to this platform is always going to be a nice thing. Hopefully things are looking up for our little home here... aka a Reddit-like place!
Hope all the defenses are up to combat the plague of gold-diggers and scammers that always follow these bright rays of crypto sunshine!
EDIT 1:... there is mention of a "NEW" STEEM token on the TRON blockchain... this could be more "interesting" than first thought...
EDIT 2: As are the airdrops to TRX holders...
EDIT 3: Keep in mind that this is only a partnership with STEEMIT... not STEEM. So, there is a possibility that Steemit is moving over to Tron and leaving the "old" Steem. This will need a bit more clarification from either Steemit or Tron!
Coin Tracking
Looking for a quick and easy way to keep track of your cryptocurrencies? Coin Tracking offers a free service that includes manual tracking or automatic tracking via APIs to exchanges, allowing you to easily track and declare your cryptocurrencies for taxation reports. Coin Tracking can easily prepare tax information sheets that are catered to each countries individual taxation requirements (capital gains, asset taxation, FIFO). Best to declare legally and not be caught out when your crypto moons and you are faced with an unexpected taxation bill (unless you are hyper secure and never attach any crypto with traceable personal information, good luck with that!).
Keep Your Crypto Holdings Safe with Ledger
Ledger is one of the leading providers of hardware wallets with the Ledger Nano S being one of the most popular choices for protecting your crypto currencies. Leaving your holdings on a crypto exchange means that you don’t actually own the digital assets, instead you are given an IOU that may or may not be honoured when you call upon it. Software and web based wallets have their weakness in your own personal online security, with your private keys being vulnerable in transit or whilst being stored upon your computer. Paper wallets are incredibly tiresome and still vulnerable to digital attacks (in transit) and are also open to real world attacks (such as theft/photography).
Supporting a wide range of top tokens and coins, the Ledger hardware wallet ensures that your private keys are secure and not exposed to either real world or digital actors. Finding a happy medium of security and usability, Ledger is the leading company in providing safe and secure access to your tokenised future!

Yeah, there seems to be quite the buzz about it already.

Yes, although I'm a bit up in the air as to what it means... Good or bad.... The medium post is a little disturbing.
What for? I honestly don't know what migrating to the Tron Blockchain will bring to the table. Are they just putting up lipstick on a pig?
Quite possibly, the extra stats will be more marketing material I guess!
Can they even do this without the community's approval?
Yes, I guess so.. It would be better to have community support to be able to export the network effects already. ... But they can just uproot and start a new Steem with the existing balances and with whatever witnesses choose to go.
I see TRON is #12 in marketcap, but each token is valued at $0.026. Looks like we could be getting 10 times the number of tokens if they merge.

I don't know about that. There was mention of 'new' Steem drops to Trx holders... Not the other way around!
I don't know much about crypto, but I believe Tron = TRX on the exchange......we'll see how this turns out....Positive/Negative

Yes, Tron is the blockchain, TRX is the native token. But I will re read, I didn't think it said any TRX would come to Steem holders?
What happens to SteemLeo tokens??????

No idea! I always thought that the Steem engine tokens were always a risky proposition. A bit like the erc20 tokens on the Ethereum blockchain.
It's all pretty confusing, to say the least.
All this 'steem is more than steemit'-talk suddenly seems nonsense? I thought he only bought STINC. So why all the talk about moving over other dapps??
Can't wait for more news
Yep, confusing is definitely the word at the moment! He only bought (partnered...) Steemit... But that has the core developers I guess. Maybe it is to talent strip the company?
Yeeeeee🔥❤

I wouldn't go full yeah at the moment... it is a bit more of a hmm, interesting... maybe yeah?
If we move to the Tron blockchain then none of our transactions will be free anymore!
From memory, transactions are also free on the Tron blockchain. You do need to stake (freeze) TRX to use the network resources though.
