All for me??!??

Well... that was strange! At 8 in the morning I was the first of the orchestra to come to breakfast... even when I'm away from home, old parenting habits are really hard to break! Anyway, upon reaching the hotel breakfast room, I was told not to eat with the public guests but to go upstairs to a conference room?!?!?!? I was told that the musicians had a different breakfast prepared for them... and upon arriving I was greeted with a pretty nice looking buffet!

However, when you arrive first in a big room with tables set like this and a buffet... even when you are told it is really for you... well, I'm in Spain and I don't speak Spanish, so there is every chance that I might have misunderstood!
So, I sat down and waited until another colleague arrived... waited and waited... Thankfully, after a little bit, there were some choir members (yay....) that did come in, and it did appear that this little morning feast was definitely for us and not for some bridal party!
So, bullet dodged... it would have been supremely awkward if I started pigging in and then some wedding party would arrive! Got to quickly eat, as I hear that the first episode of The Witcher is released on Netflix today! I'm a huge Witcher fan, and I have been completely hyped for this TV series... will it live up to expectations? Or will it be a dumped as a wannabe Game of Thrones knock-off? I know that gamers and fans of the Witcher Universe will be definitely interested... but the general public? Who knows... but unfortunately, they are the ones that will determine the lasting success of the series, and I'm afraid that people who aren't familiar with the franchise already will dismiss it as a high fantasy knock off of Game of Thrones...

Too funny! Eating alone in a room like that would feel pretty awkward.
In many ways, I don't mind eating alone, sometimes I prefer it... as long as I know that the food was actually for me!
Yup, that would have been awkward. Glad it turned out OK. Where are you playing?
That day found me in Burgos, Spain! So it was a very very nice breakfast! Tortillas... they are my favourite, and for breakfast... mmmmmm!
My partner has been enjoying it (or at least I assume so as he keeps watching it) and I don't think he's read the books and definitely hasn't played the games. Also have heard other people having only negative things to say. I haven't watched it. Hope you enjoy it and that the feast was great XD
It's a great series... I can't wait for the second season. It is a series which demands you watch the whole season, as things don't become clear until later... if you watch them out of order, skip or just the first one (like some of the critical reviews seem to have done..) then you won't understand what is happening... as it isn't signposting like other TV does.
