The Constant Evolution of Artificial intelligence.

Remember the popular movie where artificial intelligence was able to read the lips of astronauts who were deciding on turning off the A.I machine and because of that, they were able to throw the astronauts into space to face their own death, the director of this popular movie whose name is Stanley Kubrick predicted what the future of artificial intelligence will look like and what we will have to face with the machines created in the future.

The capability of the artificial intelligence now goes beyond what early scientists would have been able to predict, even if some of them would have predicted that artificial intelligence will be able to carry out several functions, I do not think it was envisioned to have super abilities like it does now.

Recent artificial intelligence have the ability to read thoughts, this was confirmed when a scientist known as Zhongming Liu together with his team members carried out an experiment of placing three people who were volunteers inside a tomograph, in the tomograph, a small video was placed to the three humans and the reaction of their brain was recorded, the temographic data was downloaded into a convolutional neural network, this way the artificial intelligence system will be able to recognise and interpret the image.

Intelligent artificial intelligence system, were able to completely interpret the images and through this, the machine was able to guess what the humans had going on in their mind. The success rate of this experiment as at 2017, was recorded to be at 50%, but after one year the system improved outstandingly.

A Columbia professor who is named Nima Mesgarani, was able to train artificial intelligence to translate human thoughts directly into words, without necessarily making use of a pictorial reference like Zhongming and his team did a year ago. 5 people volunteered to carry out this test, electrodes was placed in the cerebral cortex of these volunteers for 30 minutes and during the test, result showed that different thoughts was read out and even the brain activity of these five volunteers were recorded and this time around, the accuracy result was rated at 75%.

Artificial intelligence system now has the ability to produce or form more products whose name or purpose has not yet been identified. Scientists thought of a way to make large objects become very little in size and they found it impossible but they also know that artificial intelligence could make it possible, Artificial intelligence are now feed with the data algorithm required to transform heavy materials into a light, weightless material.

Some scientists are of the opinion that by the year 2040, artificial intelligence may be able to participate in a nuclear war. Around 80 countries are already developing their own robots war machine, most of these machines are programmed to destroy any human who looks like a threat, but the question that must be answered is, what if artificial intelligence finds every man as a treat to their existence and they decide to completely destroy humanity or what if different countries begin to fight using machines sending weapons to each other, do you think we might be safe?

The truth is, every technological advancement, usually comes with negative review and taking risk is the only way humanity has known to get into a new stage of technological evolvement.
