Drowning in Blood
I looked up and saw nothing, the clouds had gone to sleep and there was nothing but the bleakness of the sky. Drenched in this painful nothingness, the still of the night came to claim my soul.
Everywhere turned red in an instant as I was drenched in my own blood, drowning in hemorrhage, I saw the vultures circling above me to feast on my remains. I was drowning in my own blood and no one could hear me.
I don't remember how I got here, I don't know where I am; the peculiar stench of missed opportunities and failed attempts encapsulates the ambient. In the distant I suddenly hear the murmurs of a thousand voices, are they here to save me? I ponder as I drift slowly into the darkness.
I can't remember my name or who I am, the murmurs stop as the jackals lick their lips and prepare to tear me limb from limb. In a surge of adrenaline, I let out one last shout, screaming at the top of whatever is left in me and then fade to black.
