The story of Taubatnya Malik Bin Dinar
Malik bin Dinar Al-Sami was born from a Persian and Sijist (Kabul) slave, although born from a slave, but he was an independent man. In his story, Malik bin Dinar is a drunken policeman so that even a drink is hard to keep away from him. He is falling into sins. immorality and evil are always doing.
Until one day, he married a beautiful slave and gave birth to a daughter, Malik bin Dinar instinct as a father for his baby poured out for the princess, he very menyanginya. As her daughter is learning to walk, her affection increases.
But every Malik bin Dinar was about to drink the khamr in front of his daughter, his daughter dropped the khamr into his shirt, and it happened repeatedly but not the least Malik bin Dinar was angry at his daughter. Then his daughter died when he was two years old, the death of his beloved baby made Malik bin Dinar in deep sadness.
On the eve of Friday in the middle of the lunar month, Malik bin Dinar dreams of the apocalypse, the sound of the trumpet sounding and the dead again rising. In his dream, Malik bin Dinar feels that something is moving behind him, he finds a large snake with his mouth wide open crawling towards him, he rushes into fear, cuts everything in front of him until halfway through his journey encounters a sheikh who is walking in white clothes. He then begged for help from him, but the sheikh said,
"I am a weak man and the serpent is stronger than I am and I can not cope, but hurry you may Allah save you".
Hearing the answer, Malik bin Dinar added to his footsteps as the big snake drew closer, climbing the high cliff in front of him. Behind the springs, there is a blazing fire, the place of the returning of those who disbelieve in His Lord, hell.
When he had been at the end of a pitfall in hell, someone called his name and sent him back, he rushed home. But the great serpent chased him back, until Malik bin Dinar ran into a crash. His steps accelerate and reunite with a sheikh, he again begs to save himself from the pursuit of a large snake, his eyes also appear wet, but the sheikh said,
"I am a weak man, but go to that mountain because there are so many savings of the Muslims, if you have a deposit there then it will help you."
Malik bin Dinar obeyed the words of the Shaykh, he saw that the mountain was silver and there were many luminous curtains, leafy golden doors with silk tira. The big snake reappeared and headed toward it, an angelic voice said, "Open the door and raise the cloth up. Come out ye, perhaps one of you can help this wicked man ". Then Malik bin Dinar survived the big snake chase and found his daughter. His daughter said, "My father, By Allah".
Her daughter also meragkul Malik bin Dinar with a happy expression and read a Word of God which means,
"Has not the time come for believers to submit their hearts to the remembrance of Allah and to the truth that has come down (to them), and do not be like those whom the Book has sent down to him, and then a long time over them then their hearts become hard. And most of them are the wicked. "(Q.S Al-Hadid: 16)
Malik bin Dinar burst into tears reminiscent of the sins in his eyelids, and asked his daughter to tell him about the snake also the sheikh he had met on the way. His daughter also explained that the snake is a bad practice that leads to hell, while the shaykh who is wearing a white shirt is a good deed. Malik said, "O my son, what are you doing on that mountain?" He replied: "We are the children of the Muslims who are here until the Day of Judgment, we wait for you to come to us and we intercede for you."
He was awakened from his dream, Then rushed away all the ugliness that accompanied his life so far. He asked Allah's forgiveness of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala with great heart, to bring himself a disciple of Hasan al-Bashri, he is included as the Hadith of Shahih and compounded the Hadiths of past religious figures such as Anas bin Malik and Ibn Sirin. Malik bin Dinar is a well-known Qur'anic calligrapher. He also followed his daughter around the year 130 H / 748 M.
