It Was Worth Resurrecting
This painting is about thirty years old.
When I was painting it I never achieved the effects that I wanted, so I put it in a pile of unfinished work. These days it remains unfinished and I have no desire to complete it. Not withstanding, what I originally liked about the painting, the scarred and dented air conditioner coils, has been reborn in a new work.
About a year ago we had a new heating and cooling system installed. As the workers hauled the old condenser coils out to their truck I thought nothing of it; but then, just they were about to leave, a light bulb moment flashed in my brain. Hold up, I think I want those.
I had the coils in my garage and on the workbench in a matter of minutes. I only need one tool, a screwdriver. I used its blade to draw lines and its handle for burnishing.
They now hang in the dining room and make me happy.
A special thanks to all who have started to support my work.

Looks kinda like my air conditioner
Hmmm, that could be a good thing, or a bad thing.
I really like the unfinished painting. I think it's the teal colours contrasting to the grey.
