A few years ago I found this old door at an antique store. It sat in my garage for quite sometime, but eventually I decided how I wanted to use it, which was simply as a frame. I cut a board that fit the window opening and then created an assemblage painting.

now it is useful, wondering if that door have story or who was the owner before you saw it in the antique store?
I’m sure it has a story, but I don’t know it, maybe I can invent one.
I think that works really well as a frame. And also as a piece of art in its own right.
Thanks, I like to work with recycled materials.
I think the kids these days call it "upcycling". It's great that the door had a new lease on life. What once would've been a frosted glass or a clear window now serves the purpose of being a portal to a different scene. Quite crafty, my friend! I never would've thought to use it as a frame!
