ASSEMBLAGE / Ironing Board
ASSEMBLAGE-
I purchased this old ironing board at a local antique store with the idea of creating an assemblage. I like to collect random parts and odjects so it didn’t take long to find what I wanted to do. I did some painting, but as you can see it became mostly an arrangement of objects.
Here I have labeled the objects I used.
This is lovely. I too collect random old parts with the idea to make art with, but rarely do. Our garage grows more cluttered, and my husband despairs!
Thanks I’m glad you liked it, l love using found objects for sculpture, but I’m running out of room for the finished projects.
That looks great! I really like the addition of the abacus. It could've been fine without it, but seeing it lodged in there, I couldn't imagine the whole piece without it. What did you use to hold them up?
