StoreDot, a company based in Israel, has developed a battery technology, which can charge your mobile phone in 60 seconds. This technology is also capable of charging an Electric vehicle in 5 minutes while improving the battery life!!

We all know that Li-ion battery technology currently is the dominant portable energy storage device which is powering up your mobile phone, laptop, Electric vehicles and many electronic devices. You can click this link to know more about the Li-ion batteries. The Li-ion batteries, however, have many limitations. Some metals used in the manufacturing of these batteries are rare earth metals. They don’t carry desired energy density and they have a continuously deteriorating life. These batteries are also not safe and have a tendency to catch fire ( Remember Samsung Note 7 exploding batteries ?). These limitations are caused due to the inorganic compounds used in making cathode.
