Children's lit... In my opinion....
This week I have learned about early children's literacy. I learned that actual children's books were not even created until the 1800's. Before that, most literacy was based around an adult audience, told by word of mouth. Social views in children's lit were established after WW2 in America. Which I believe began a true era of change. Where books were published to portray realism in the way the author or publisher wanted it to be seen. To me, a lot like the news and other social outlets. If there is any advise I would give tonight is "never judge a book by its cover." Judge a book by it's publisher and author.
