Weekend Art and Nubian Pyramid

I almost forgot to share Friday's mandala!

It wasn't until I hit post on Saturday's blog that I realised I forgot to include it :(

This was done haphazardly on Friday arvo off the back of my very long winded acrylic pour. I actually remember being exhausted from that pour and just willing myself to keep going so I can keep my mandala streak alive.

I think the exhaustion shows in my work.

But I did it and it's still heaps better than Saturday's random experiment 👇

Out of all the ones I've done to date this has to be my least favourite. There's just something not right about it.

Sunday art

I didnt want to say it out loud just in case I failed but I did want to commit to making 1 art work every day for a week. If anything just to try and get over this bleh feeling.

I'm not just bleh with art/work/blogging btw. I'm bleh with food and sleep too. I basically spend my days wondering what would give me joy and try to pursue it IF something came up.

So yesterday, when the urge hit me, I decided to paint. I don't know what I'm doing with it yet I just know this is the first part.

In the meantime...

This is what hubby (@mindbodyspirit) did while I was painting.

He was meant to do it last weekend but he didn't have the corners to connect the pipes. Still don't really have proper corners for them actually, but he made it work in the end.

It's very basic right now since we're on test phase. I eventually want a much bigger pyramid for outside and that one will be painted and maybe even loaded with orgonites and crystals.

As you do ;)

Well! It's Monday morning and the painting is calling me! Wish me luck you guys! Hubby said to leave it be but I feel like it needs something ~ I hope I dont stuff it!

I am always impressed with the Buddha monks in Tibet who make such beautiful sand mandalas during a special religious weekend. They then destroy it - apart off the process I am told.

I think Indians do something similar too? Im in awe of their skills; saw a video of a indian lady doing on on the ground and the way she did it ~ I cant even... 😍
