9 flipping days! Can y'all believe it?

It doesnt feel that long ago when you guys kept me company in my 7 week house hunt. It was weird at first that I shared the hunt with you but as the weeks went by I looked forward to what everyone thought about the weekend's houses.

It's been quite the journey, thank you all for joining me.

If you missed it here's a recap of a couple of my favourite houses.

Almost but not quite there.

I didn't give this house a nickname like the others. It was one of the first houses we went to see and for a little bit there, we thought we would buy it.

It was a cost little house that's a bit dated but has been well looked after. It needs a new kitchen and walls knocked down to make the whole place feel spacious.

Pros. Solar Panels, 3 water tanks, neat terraced garden
Con. Small block, small house, backing on to crown land

Status ~ Price Reduced: Still on the market.

Ahhh Bad Reno. To be be fair, the actual reno itself was great, it was the choice to not leave adequate room for a dining table that bothered me, and it emphasised how small the house actually was.

Despite that, it still had a view plus a big rock at the back that Hubby always wanted, so we put an offer down for this house below it's asking price and got knocked back.

Pros. Great view, big rock, tidy house
Cons. Too steep, small house, Dogs... dogs everywhere

Status ~ Under Offer

Photoshop House lol and I named it well. If you read this post, you'll see the ceiling comparison shot.

I really thought that was our house until I walked in.

I remember a lady going nuts over it and carrying on, on the phone at the front of the house.

The house was shortly listed Under Offer but was out back on the market not long after.

Pros. Views, rocks a plenty, HUGE block, backing on to bush, on one of my fave streets
Cons. Shocking house, gut job, I don't need to be a pro to know that thing isn't gonna pass inspection.

Status ~ Still on the market.

And this... This is us...

It took us 7 long weeks (hello lucky number 7!) but we got there.

The only house we ever saw on a Sunday. We drove past earlier to see if it was worth it, decided oh hell yeh, came back earlier than the inspection time and already there were heaps of people there.

30 minutes later we put an offer in ❤

Now it's all about the stress of finalising everything and getting everyone on board.

Tip. If you can avoid it, don't buy a house around Christmas. Every one is trying to go on break and people are away on break.

Hopefully things will work out and we avoid any dramas, there's so much involved in buying and moving a house.
