Hello VIP List!

There comes a time, around 6 weeks worth amount of time, when you have met most of the main agents and they know you're really on the market.

The Blue Mountains is a small community, not only does everyone talk, everyone knows everyone or know someone who knows everyone. This is especially true in the real estate scene up here.

One of the earliest examples of this was during one of our very first inspections. While we were talking we mentioned we had just sold our land and just by knowing which suburb it was at he knew which block it was.

At first glace at the situation you may think it's a bit intrusive, sort of?, but in a community like the Blue Mountains everyone is happy and ready to help anyone, especially another local. I see it both online and offline.

In our case this translate to exclusive previews of properties.

Here is the one we saw yesterday afternoon.

Not yet on the market and the best house I have seen so far.

It is located on one of our new fave streets, most of the houses on this street are backing on to bush which is one of the things we love about it, that and the nice mountain view as you drive onto the street. The house is also set back which I look for and it also has this cute little front garden.

On the outside it's not much although I really like that covered front porch. Inside the house however... OMG. Was the first house to have everything I wanted.

👉 3 Bedrooms
👉 Master with walk in and ensuite
👉 Bath tub/shower combo
👉 Internal Laundry
👉 Kitchen with a view
👉 Good size lounge room. In fact it has two living spaces!
👉 Large covered deck

Even the land size was great.

BUT (sigh) we are not backing on to bush.

You could just imagine our disappointment when we saw the neighbor at the back. I know we're a bit nuts about the whole neighbors and dogs thing. But I swear to you, if you lived where we are at now, you would go through lengths to make sure this situation is avoided.

Sure, that one neighbor is a far cry from the 7 houses currently looking into our backyard at the moment, but still, we had our hearts set on backing on to bush, maybe even a nice view and our own slab of rock we can meditate on.

Cos lets be honest you guys, Steemit these days has been messing with my zen and sister needs to get her meditation on. Imagine having the pull of a natural rock formation to sit on. Surely I would be enticed to step away from the lappy then.

Hubby also wanted a brick home. He doesn't have many requirements, no where near the list I have, so I figured if he wants a brick home we should get a brick home. This is not a brick home. It has bricks, they don't match but that's about the extent of the bricks in this house.

We walked away disappointed. But at least I knew what sort of house made my heart sing. I never really thought about my requirements for inside the house, aside from having a dining room space. I had always wished for an ensuite but I never knew how much I really wanted one until I saw this house.

Well, I suppose this is why we have to keep going to inspections. Not only does it give us house hunting experience, it has also helped me get to know myself, my wants vs needs, in the process.

This is really good to know as we approach week 7 of the hunt. It's good to know it hasn't been a mammoth waste of time.

Beautiful house though.

It so was @mattclarke - Was mildly disappointed when Hubby gave it a No lol

Might not be he one for you, but that is a really nice house.

I was thinking the same love. I shall have to hang tight and just wait a little bit longer :)

When it's meant to be it's meant to be. I'm sure it will all just fall into place!

That house looks heaps better than the rest. Pity about the no bush out back though. Getting closer.....

Ohh @bmj it kicked all the other houses arse. I was oooing and aaahing the whole way inside. Getting closer alright! 😊

We live in a duplex and the neighbor has two dogs that constantly bark. It really goes to the nerves.

Ohh honey that would drive me bonkers. Im sure it drives you batty too. ❤ I feel your pain.

It's out there. You will know it when you see it.

Thanks honey xxx She's out there!

It is better to be sure than to rush things. My brother didnt rush his hunt and he got a great house after waiting and hunting. It pays off. Good luck!

Thanks @jon24jon24! A few more weeks and we should be right in the buyers market so its definitely worth the wait 😊

The house is really beautiful though and I also love having a small garden w/c you can design on your own but if husband wants a brick house, then brick house it is. Goodluck on your hunt! ☺️❤

Thank you @enjieneer, the house is quite lovely isnt it? I'd love to design my own garden too but yes, seem we will have a brick home :)

Close but no dog biscuit. Now you have found out that there are houses out there that have almost everything you want. You will find the one soon and you will know the minute you see it. Remember you both need to be happy with the choice.

hahah ikr "close but no dog biscuit." @cecicastor - that summed it up beautifully lol and exactly right! I couldnt believe how close to perfect this house was.

Thank you for your faith. I cant wait to see our house! :D

Yeah my wife and I settled on a 2 story house, but the deal we got on the house more than made up for it. There's two things we didn't like about the house, but otherwise we're super blessed with what we got when we got it.

You'll know it when you see it. We fought buying this house for a couple of days because of the 2 concerns (2 stories and neighbors garage facing out house), but in the end we knew it was the one for us as @dswigle pointed out.

That's so good to know @gniksivart! I have always wondered about the blessings in disguise houses you know? Like maybe Im being too hard on the house and really it could be alright.

We did discuss the house size in the past and I was always for a smaller home, I crazily entertained the idea of a tiny house at one point, but I have come around to the 2 storey house idea. We have that much stuff we need that extra space.

Just curious. How did it work out with the neighbor's garage?
