What do you buy someone when they "Have it all"
This is a great question for those who know someone who "has it all". Well the truth is that most people don't have it all. If all celebrities and rich people were happy; they wouldn't turn to drugs or other forms of pleasure deemed risky.
It all seems like Western Society is about the next high. When we say first world problems we generally mean we are complaining about something other than survival.
"Oh my gaming rig that cost me $5000 just broke down! How will I ever be able to play world of warcraft"
"Oh my LEASED mercedes has a recall. How will I ever get to work"
"Oh the store is closed! I can't get the clothes that were marked down from $1000 to $800 dollars"
Etc Etc..
So generally first world problems intimate things that do not require anything for survival. Let's review Maslow's Hierearchy of needs:
The basic pyramid is simple to understand. I'm not going to go over it. This post is in actuality more deep than I wanted to get. We can get as phillisophical as we want and I promote that in the comments section.
Basically I have had some nasty first world problems face me. If it weren't for friends, family, and LUCK I might be on the street. I thank Gd that didn't happen because then I would move to a very basic problem; no shelter. I know other men in similar situations and it could get that bad.
So with that being said, we in the first world definitely fill our time with nonsense and worthless claims. Other times we do have serious problems that need to be addressed; and are universal (meaning it doesn't matter where in the world it happens).
So my dad is basically a very plain person. He doesn't buy anything for himself that would seem luxurious and or extravagant. Perhaps it's a good way to live, or maybe it's not depending upon his "happiness".
So I mixed it up a little. Why spend something on someone who has the money; but doesn't really want anything.
Well sometimes the greatest gift isn't how much you spent, but what it provides. The world is pretty dark, so it's worth it to provide a smile or a laugh. So I got him this:
Yes a very odd and cheap thing I know. However he uses it often in the bathroom. So it has utility!
I know he likes President Putin. Not because he's Russian, not because Vlad IS a dictator, and not because he is good. My father likes him because he is savy and strong. We don't expect world leaders to be good. In fact he's probably a very bad man. That doesn't always take away respect.
So this very small gift at least was thought provoking, provided some kind of utility, and most of all gave him a good laugh.
Hope you enjoyed my post. Looking forward to your comments!

Upvoted and followed, thanks for sharing! That bathroom deodorizer is really funny.
Note that the first picture was broken somehow during editing, but the link is still there; I was able to click it and see it in another tab. It should be fairly simple to fix; the formatting for an image looks like "" (without the quotes).
From your post's title, I recall a Steven Wright one-liner: "You can't have everything. Where would you put it?" :)
The hierarchy is important to understand -- without shelter, it doesn't matter whether you are social; and, without breathing, it doesn't matter if you have shelter.
Yes I noticed it, should be fixed. Thanks for the upvote!
You're welcome; looks good!
