Steem BOT tracker only way to make a profit?

in #steemit8 years ago

A lot has been written about Steemit upvote bots.

There is a good website to check bidding bots which help delineate what is profitable or not.

https://steembottracker.com

I have had mixed results with some of these bots. To be honest I believe these guys are RAKING in the profits. If I could do it, I would.

Why?

The trend these days is that the maximum profitable bid is going to ZERO. That’s right you are lucky to get a 1:1 ratio these days. It would seem many people are having a hard time getting viewed and upvotes. The last sign of relief are these fake “whale” accounts curating nothing. You get the vote even if it’s garbage.

Sure there are some bots that do curate, but you still pay for the upvote service and rarely will get chosen as a good “upvote”.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not a hypocrite. I’ll use the bot if a I feel a post deserves a bump. Even the 1:1 ratio of the bid can get you more attention. I have seen whales use these services to get their message out to the masses. Even if i have 50 SBD I can get my post noticed off i spend that much.

In fact sometimes I don’t know what to do with the extra SBD. I would never personally use STEEM to trade for an upvote; but that’s my personal opinion.

This is a natural and expected service for steemians. After all whales are looking for ROI and it’s certainly paying off especially if you get paid to upvote with you built up steem. Perhaps it’s not what the platform was intended for, but then again it’s Beta and is constantly evolving.

I guess many would ride on the beta stage, getting profits here and there as fast fast as they can while the system is still figuring out how to get rid of these abuses. Its decentralized but money makes it centralized.

money makes everything centralized

Yep!
What if a billionaire, anonymous billionaire would join steemit, buys a billion of steem and powered it up. Steemit will definitely be put in a cage like a bird carried by this billionare anywhere he wants. He can even sold it!

Nice post...

i have seen really big profits from @booster and others. I find if I bid a decent amount (7 at the minimum, more the better) there are a whole bunch of people who must have an algorithm that votes for anyone who buys a booster vote. Most are worth 0.00, but I get a few worth more than that.

I also delegate most of my SP to boomerang and am making 9-10 SBD a day, passively.

That's sick! How much did you delegate? Free money basically!

about 4450 SP right now. I love it. I can post and comment without having to worry too much about pleasing anyone and getting votes, and everything I get that way is just icing on the cake. And the SBD just rolls in, 10 payouts a day. I sometimes move it and add to my other crypto bags, sometimes I power up and delegate more...it's pretty nice right now.

Nice. Never had that much to delegate and probably cannot because I need big upvotes to get to that point. Just muddling along, but I'm not complaining. If you don't spend a penny (time is important), I have done well. I actually treat this more of a hobby than anything else. Having cashed out crypto to Gold and Silver is a dream (which I did) and any other gains are just ridiculous. Steem was a great bet.
