I love steemit, I really do! But this is hilarious
You ever been to an amazing restaurant, get some food.. good hardy food, and amazing service? Now imagine it's culturally appreciative to give a tip. But besides giving a tip you do the oddest thing.
You compliment the waiter or waitress, take money out of your pocket.. and then take the money off of the table and put it into the other side of your pocket.
Then you look blankly..
It's like this guy giving himself a tip and then leaving the restaurant...
You then get on your cell phone and call your buddies to come in to congratulate you.. but they're not exactly human. They are bots.. but they give you their own tip anyways.
Steemit really is the gift that keeps on giving!
I guess I gotta figure out the tipping yourself system.

I think the tipping yourself system was designed as a way to bring in more tips. It's kinda like buskers and other street artist will sometimes drop a $5 or $10 in the tip jar which is designed to encourage others to leave tips.
