EOS Launch Became Chaotic
Hi dear EOS lovers,
I come here to express my deeply frustration will all the process of EOS Main Net Launch!
We as a community and EOS lovers expect this project to be lead by serious people that so far have done nothing other than divide us from the past 2 days!
EOS as everyone knows will be a revolutionary technology for the cryptocurrency space backed by Daniel Larimer a software programmer. Larimer created the cryptocurrency platform BitShares, was co-founder of the blockchain social platform Steemit, and is CTO of EOS, with the company block.one and gave us the community everything needed to launch the best Crypto ever made but somehow instead of launch the chain the Go and No go meetings became a joke!
I been from the last 6 days combating FUD all over social media, from Facebook, Youtube, Telegra, Twitter and other because I really love Dan as a human been that look forward a better world for everyone!
I am on EOS because I love him as he is and believe on him not in Block Producers or better saying Candidates to BP!
What is been happening from last 2/3 days is insane, I been watching the live of the live conferences and from last 2/3 days I see that the Asia are looking more to short EOS than actually loving EOS as a whole, from the tech to the community we have been building all this time!
So today I start to get frustrated after watch the live conference where clearly was no security issues but the Asians teams was not happy to have a GO. I got ban EOS core telegram chat when I try to push the team for launch it since there was no concerns on security and 4 days had past!
A couple of hours later Dan came to the chat and done the same but this time no ban for him. He post the following:
So when I saw it and after watch the live conferences I came to the conclusion that I was not mad or getting insane!
Clearly Dan is pushing the candidates to launch the chain as I was assuming was ready too.
I understand we need days for security checks in the first 4 days but when in the afternoon live meeting there was no concerns about security and Dan statements I was thinking maybe it will be a GO but at same time I was not 100% sure because something is not smelling right from the Asian team.
We came to the 01:00 UTC meeting and was a completely disaster even with Dan present we was not able to give a GO!
This is disrespectful towards him when the genius and creator is confident in the status of the chain and some candidates are not, this for me clearly shows something is hidden behind the scenes!
When we went for voting after 2 hours of conference with Dan present and asking for a go the Asian team was all not ready to go because of security concerns never explained with fundaments, they was waiting for EOS v1.0.2 when clearly was not in the table we could launch with 1.0.1 without any issues and update from there and they speak their language between them leaving us aside.
There is clearly an intention to short EOS since no valid arguments been given and before the No Go been decided they start to sell off their positions to buy lower, or they do not want EOS to pass NEO in price and clearly some of the members are voting was not even candidates for block producers!
All this been created by a lack of leadership from BPs candidates listening to all this drama!
The vote should be done by us as a EOS COMMUNITY MEMBERS and do not listen to candidates! They must show us why they deserve our vote and this is not happening! They hide behind ZOOM with just 200 people attending the meetings and leave almost 2000 EOS holder watching a stream on youtube created by someone else not related to EOS candidates!
Until today I have not seen any minutes or records of the meeting as should be from the day one in the final of the days we should be a open community but all the time the excuses is because of security and blablabla.
As a community members and as proud of what EOS have to offer as a decentralised and open project as we can't condemn Dan but all the structure behind the BP candidates!
We need from now on:
1- Who is voting for GO/NO Go Vote with a statement of the reason.
2- Transparency for everyone watch the voting sessions.
3- State the reasons for the delays
4- Ensure the BP candidates are represented by someone official
We clearly need a transparent communication to decide our votes and until today it is not happen!
We need leadership and LAUNCH EOS because we can't please everyone and we will be in this process forever if we try to please everyone!
I love Dan as I mention and I love EOS as a project as many of us but the last thing I want is see all this confusion about the launch. We must respect our leader because he will always be here to help us since this is is baby!
Lets be have more leadership in this meetings and follow the path for success because today's conference was really bad for EOS reputation and this must not happen again!
We need people with Passion for the project and not people looking for money this drive people away and breaks our immaculate reputation!
Sorry for my English is not my mother language and I will see you around in the next Go/No Go meeting hopefully with a clear path of who we are!
Thank you Dan to be with us all the time and ensuring we following the right steps without you we will be lost in this impasse forever in name of fake security!
Dan should have nothing to do with the launch of the chain, him even pushing for the launch is far from what he stated that he was going to do (Let the community launch). We don't want EOS decisionmaking to be centralized by Dan, like eth is by vitalik.
AFAIK they are still waiting for the third party security firm to complete the audit. They still find bugs running basic commands in the chain. We don't want EOS to become a new ETH, where people lost a lot of money.
A lot of people pushing for launch have never launched a big operation, or properly validated, tested and audited code. I fully trust that if they say no-go, it´s for good reasons.
However, I am also with you on that we can´t wait for an eternity, but it´s only been a week. B1 did a lot of governance changes last minute in the system, which is one of the reasons the launch is delay.
If you want it to go faster, go and see in what way you can help, and be a productive member of the launch. If you are not capable of doing that, let them do the work.
Atleast, this is my point of view, after following the BPs since january, in their testnets, discussions and interviews. I have complete trust in that they know what they are doing, and if any of the skilled BPs claim that the launch aint ready, then the launch aint ready.

BP are the right people to give a go/no-go because they run the software and most of them are deeply invested in it, I knew it was going to be no-go because the security audit wasn't out yet and many BP are being cautious of everything as they should not because of shorting or buying NEO. Lets not judge with sentiment reason.
