Understanding an Aussie Frother - How to speak Aussie and understand @beachbuminvestor
Hi Frothers, I know many of you are not from Australia. Much like legalisation of gay marriage and decriminalising illicit drug use (these people need help, not to be locked up), Australia will undoubtedly be 10 years behind the rest of the world when it comes to this social media revolution. Please be patient with my countrymen.
Unless we are following the U.S on to Steemit.com, in an attempt to find non-existent "Weapons of mass destruction" we tend to be pretty laid back in Australia and will probably be a little slow to move once again. When we do arrive, you are going to need some help understanding what we are saying.

Here's a simple guide to "Understanding and Aussie Frother"
Frother, Mate, Legend, Champion, Bro, Dude, Man, Guys etc.
A friendly and uniting term used to refer to a person or collective group of people. Very handy when you've forgotten someone's actual name.
Stoked, Frothin(g) Sweet, Bonza, That's Gold!
Happy, excited.
Shakka
An ancient Hawaiin hand gesture adopted by surfing communities the world over and used as both as a greeting, and a sign of approval and acceptance, and is often accompanied by an ear-piercing YEWWWWWW!!!
YEWWWWWW!!!!
An exclamation of excitement (see beginning of video below) (U.S brothers but Yewww is used worldwide in the surfing fraternity)
Pumpin(g)
A term used to define good surf conditions and or large swells.
Bloody
A word used to further emphasize important points
eg. "Mate, that swell was bloody huge last week." or "You bloody idiot!"
Booger,
Bodyboarder, underappreciated and underpaid minorities of the surfing community?
Jake Stone (above). One of the biggest chargers in Australia. This is not even the clip I wanted to put in. Jake should have died in late 2016 early 2017 when he "wiped out" in a massive swell to hit the infamous break "The Right" in Western Australia. I was speaking with Brad Stone (Jake's brother) and when I suggested he should have died, Brad laughed it off and said "Yeah probably hey?" It wasn't a lack of love or concern for his brother that drove this response, more an acknowledgement of the risks we all take take chasing this high.
Stand Up's
Talented big brothers of the bodyboard and the dominant force in the surfing industry. Surfers can be paid as much as US$20million per year, to stalk bodyboarders in an attempt to see which crazy waves we are surfing.
For those of you who are not familiar with the surfing industry, bodyboarders find the craziest waves and take all the risks in being the first to surf them. Surfers follow and profit from the wider exposure their sport has globally. BWA represent.

There are many words used to name it, but none that can do justice to the thrill of getting one. Truely engulfed in the beauty and power of mother nature. Once had you are gone forever. Surfing is life after this breathtaking experience.

Spit, Blowout
A term used to deine the stream of air and water that can shoot out of a barrel as the space inside the barrel itself is reduced by the collabsing wave
