The EC has accused Facebook and Twitter

The European Commission (EC) has accused social media Facebook and Twitter against changing the terms and conditions of users' confidential information without deleting them. The commission says Facebook and Twitter's behavior with the Consumer Protection Act governed by the European Union (EU) is not consistent.

According to the European Commission, a press release of the German press agency said on Thursday that Facebook and Twitter are removing the uploaded content of the customers and users are changing the rules of use without informing them. In EU countries, they have found evidence of such behavior with these two social media users, which are contrary to EU law's consumer protection laws. In this case, EU countries can fined these two social media.

In March 2007, the European Commission asked the two social media to make regulations and conditions for two users, in line with EU consumer law and considering consumer protection.

Judge of the European Commission, Vera Zarova, the commissioner responsible for consumer and gender equality, has threatened to take action against them if the social networks do not correct their business conditions. In this case, the EU countries will allow users of this case to file lawsuits.

According to the European Commission, these networks only took into account the content of advertising labels and sponsor content. In the German capital Berlin this week, Facebook users succeeded in a case of conservation of consumers' interests. At the directive of the Berlin District Court, the Facebook authorities have now ordered the removal of any user's use of the actual name and the restriction on the name change. From now on, users can not be forced to use the real name. That means, in the future, Facebook will have to change the default settings for its services.

In addition, the Court of Berlin in another order declares that identification by the search engines on the mobile phone has been identified by the confidential settings default by default, including location of users in their Facebook location and chat partners.

The Berlin authorities will appeal to the higher court against these directives of the Berlin Court. They also said that since 2015, their policies have changed a lot on Facebook on products and other matters.
