Decluttering Your Steemit Experience (K.I.S.S.)
Steemit can be overwhelming. Everybody has the inside track and the brand new idea that will be better than the 10,000 other amazing ideas and projects that are hurled at you every time you dive in! Every day there is something that is newer, shinier and sexier to keep your eyes darting around and sometimes it causes you to ......freeze up.

For myself, I just avoid the junk I don't like and hope it avoids me. I have a list of my fave people to Manually Curate and check out Trending just about never. We all started out with different weaknesses and strengths and trying to be in the Steemian version of "Keeping Up With The Kartrashians" holds zero appeal or actual benefit to my own trip on here.
When the energy exerted isn't even remotely acknowledged or appreciated here is what I do......
There is a beauty that comes with cutting out that which does not apply and that which drains. There also is a beauty in consciously keeping out the non stop clutter of non-applicable information so that you can find the communities that you gel with and say "Adios Non-Amigos" to the rest.

Now I'm trying the other way(you know which one) just to appreciate the old then miss it then get back to it with more conviction. :D

I tried once, early on, and the first time I was upvoting some garbage that the account chose for me, I lost my taste for that other method.

yeah that's the issue.....feel with some groups it can work but I'd rather pick and choose how my own stake is used, not really into giving a lot of energy to a picture of a flower even though sometimes I do if it's a friend who does produce other content besides the easiest course. If this isn't a huge ass social experiment I don't know what is.....to me it makes Facebook look tame
Love it! I always try to keep it simple (although many times I'm just being stupid) so I couldn't agree more. :) Trying to keep up with toooo many discrod channels in the beginning made me crazy, so I thinned that shit down. I'm much happier with the whole experience at this point.
yeah I tend to join a lot of discords and the ones with tons of rules and nine million things just gets tedious, like to feel a place out before jumping in, thanks for stopping by, nice post lol
