What do you want to read about here?
Hi, I'm Bastiaan. I live in Amsterdam. The Netherlands. I am a business owner. I do stuff with technology to make money. When I have time and in the mood I make artwork (I'm an art school graduate). And sometimes I just do whatever I feel like doing or think is fun.
Steemfest
'Fun' brings the subject to Steemit! At the end of next week I'll attend Steemfest here in town. I have no idea what to expect but the list of visitors looks good and so close to home, I had to go visit it. So I'm looking forward to go there.
What to post about?
On Steemit I haven't been very active yet. The reason is a bit like "writer's block". There is plenty to stuff to write about but what do people want to read about over here? And how about video blogging? Or photography? To be honest I don't know.
Things (topics) I consider posting about:
- Amsterdam - Pictures and stories about this city. Whatever I think is worth posting about. This place is changing all the time so there is plenty of material.
- Technology - I work as a consultant in the "creative industry" here in town and know a few things about Apple, Wi-Fi, Security and some other stuff.
- Politics and religion - Always good for some controversy. The USSA is choosing next week from the two 'best' (ahem...) candidates, out of 300 million or so, who will be the next dictator. Over here there are elections coming up next year and the choice isn't any better. As an anarchist ("AnCap" for some here) I have no intention to vote but will keep an eye on what's going on.
- All of the above - Just mixing topics and see what you like and whatever is inspiring me to post about.
- Something else.
So far my first post on Steemit. And I want to hear from you! What does the crowd on Steemit like to read and talk about? Maybe I should just test various topics and see what works...

Were you at Steemfest? I like Amsterdam too. I was lucky being born in the area of this city.
Sadly I couldnt make it to SteemFest. Im living in Munich right now so quite far away!

Thank you! Sure I can post about what I eat. I tend to a paleo diet with Mediterranean ingredients. I just love meat/fish + vegetables. Who needs pasta or potatoes - unless you do manual labor?
@all Sorry for neglecting this thread and thanks for your comments! I wanted to follow up after attending Steemfest. On second thought I can include politics, especially in international perspective. Next year there are elections here and it is pretty much the same negative stuff as with the US presidential elections, although the details are different.
