Suturing Technique Demonstration :(

While most cuts can be safely treated at home, Deeper cuts and wounds require closure. The risk of infection increases the longer the wound remains open. In a casual situation, you can easily seek professional medical attention. But in an emergency, medical attention might be unavailable, therefore, the ability to 'stitch a wound' is a critical skill to be learned. In this article, I will teach you the basic steps of stitching wounds. But this article won't replace hands-on training and I will perform the procedure on a teddy bear.

First of all before beginning any procedure you need to make sure you have the right equipment. This is my essential kit for suturing (although it lacks some materials..), you will need:

An antiseptic and gauzes for cleaning the wound
Scalpel may be required to clear dead tissues
Suture needles depending on the place of the wound For facial wounds, a smaller gauge suture is used generally 6.0 in size.As for wounds under greater stress and of less cosmetic importance such as a thigh or leg, a 4.0 suture may be more suitable.
Syringe if you have an anesthetic solution ready for injection to reduce the pain during the suturing .
Needle Driver which is a reinforced instrument designed to grasp the suture needle and should be held by your dominant hand.
Toothed Forceps used to grasp the skin edges while performing the procedure.
Scissors

After cleaning the wound correctly ,getting rid of the dead skin tissues and injecting the anesthetic solution,we can start..

First step: Grab the needle with the driver and have the toothed forceps on your other hand,then using the forceps put the needle through the edges as shown below
