Going in the Opposite Direction - Motivation

in #motivation3 years ago

Motivation is a vital part of life. You need motivation to start off with, to keep going and to succeed. If you are not motivated then you will never get anywhere. The whole point of motivation is to make a difference in your life.

A lot of people go about achieving their goals in totally the wrong way. They will set goals that are far too small and hard to achieve. They will set impossible standards that they think anyone should strive to.

Then they sit on their laurels. They don't do anything. They simply wait for their motivation to kick in and they take whatever comes their way. This is the wrong way of achieving any goal.

A better way is to go in the direction of growth. Growth is a gradual process. It's not a sudden flip. Growth happens over a period of time. It's like working at a job.

Working your way up at a job will take time. Going from a ciprian position to being an manager will take more time. Being promoted will be a bit quicker but you'll still have to work your way there. Being promoted should be seen as a source of pride and not something to be achieved. By going in the direction of growth you will move faster than anyone else.

If you want to get something done then you must do it. No matter how hard you might try or how good of a job you might do, if you put it off you are setting yourself up for failure. You need motivation to get things done. You might think that getting something done would be a lot easier without all of the motivation that is required.

You might think that you're too comfortable with what you're doing. You might feel like you're doing something well or that you're smart at it. But if you don't continue to use that knowledge and intelligence, then you will lose it. People who have been successful have always worked their way through the obstacles that were in front of them.

Working your way up in an organization doesn't always have to mean going in the direction of destruction. You might have reached a goal that was too ambitious for you. Maybe the company no longer wants to employ you. When this happens you can use the knowledge you learned at your previous job to get yourself re-employed. That means you have more reasons to keep going at what you're doing. In order to do that you must continue to use your knowledge to drive you forward.

If you can find ways to apply what you've learned in past jobs you'll succeed more quickly than someone who's trying to get to the same goal but doesn't have any track record. A lot of people will leave a job and never go back to it. They just get discouraged and lose their motivation. By finding out what you can do and why you should stick with it, you'll become a much happier person.

Just remember that you need motivation to reach your goals. Even when you think you've reached them there's always some part of you that will want to go further. You'll probably start to get discouraged and you'll want to give up. Don't. Keep going at it by finding new things that you can do that will increase your motivation even more.

Motivation is the key to success in most cases. It's all about seeing the glass half full. Instead of going in thinking you can't do something, go in with the belief that you can and you will succeed. You might not succeed immediately but the more you put into it the more you will get out.

The only way to go forward is to stop looking at what other people think, stop feeling bad, and start thinking positively. No one else can tell you what your future holds but yourself. When you have more motivation you're more likely to take actions that will get you closer to your goal. Once you have reached your goals keep going. By getting rid of all negative thinking, you'll be able to reach your goals even faster.
