Achievement Task 2

Irrespective as to whether one is a newbie or veteran on steemit, it is imperative to secure all passwords for maximum security and thanks to this community for this task which will help us know the functions of each key.

Question 1
Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?

Yes, I have retrieved all my keys and I have it stored on my computer as well as on my email.

Question2
Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

Yes, I know the functions of all the keys.

1.Private Posting key, this key enables you to log into your account, it allows you to post, comment, and vote on other people’s post. You can also mute resteem or unfollow other accounts with your posting key.

2.Private owner key, this key is used for performing monetary and wallet actions like, transferring fund, converting steem dollars, powering up transactions etc.

3.Private owner key, this key enables you reset all other keys and it is important you save it offline. It helps you recover your account within 30 days of compromise.

1. Memo key, it is used for encrypting and decrypting memos when transferring funds. To encrypt a memo, use the pound or # sign before it.

The master password is very important and is used to generate all other keys including the owner, they key must be secured at all cost.

How do you plan to keep your master password?

I have my master password on my email and due its importance, I have written in my diary as well which I know no one will chance upon it.

Question 4
Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

Yes I do know how to transfer my steem tokens to another user.

1.Log into your steemit account.

2.Right click on the image at the top right corner.

3.Click on profile.

4.Click on wallet.

5.Click on the drop down arrow by the steem amount.

6.Click on transfer, input the name of the receiver as well as the amount to be transferred and click next.

Do you know how to power up your STEEM?

Yes, I do.

1.Log into your steemit account.

2.Right click on the image at the top right corner.

3.Click on profile.

4.Click on wallet.

5.Click on the drop down arrow by the steem amount.

6.Upon clicking power up, input the amount of steem you wish to power up and then you click on power up.

What an interesting task, it has enabled me learn a lot of things which I probably wouldn’t have taken notice. Thank you very much.
