Popular pumpkin gourd, pumpkin

Being popular is the pumpkin and cultivation. These pumpkins and louers are going to cater to local demand in Chittagong. In the winter season, despite the cultivation of the land, the rainwater is cultivated in the floating method.
According to the Hajiganj Upazila Agriculture Office, farmers of village Bailai, Sayakhal, Ollipur and Sri Rampur of Hajiganj municipality, Bakila, Chantar and Sreepur villages of Bakila union cultivated these vegetables before boro rice. Apart from this, the cultivation of pumpkin and, radishes, larkas, tomatoes, coriander, cauliflower and cabbage are being cultivated in different villages of the upazila. The cultivation is about 200 hectares of land.

It is known that there are huge demand for lauai in all areas of the upazila. With the demand of the locality, now the city of Chittagong, Feni, Comilla, Dhaka and other places are being supplied to the localized liquor in Mirsaraiye.
According to Upazila Agriculture Office sources, the weather in this area is favorable to the cultivation of lau. Along with this, the necessary agricultural products are available here. Farmers are cultivating lava using these facilities.
