About Steemit

in #photography5 years ago (edited)

I have been a person who has used a lot of social networks to show their work. Thanks to that many people from different parts of the world have contacted me, have written beautiful words and I have received many comments about my works; I have met other artists and I have done some work with the photo of someone unknown (something very strange considering my lonely way of working), I have done many interviews and I have even participated in exhibitions in unthinkable places in the world. All this without moving from my house. They were beautiful times. We already know how things have changed..., no social network I like at this time and the most fashionable is the one I like the least (Instagram). I am a very active person, artistically speaking. I'm always doing art, every day. That's why I'm always publishing my work, I think it wouldn't make sense if I didn't. I left the "art/market world" a while ago, so internet is where you can see my work. And suddenly I discovered Steemit and I was happy because everything I read was positive, especially that the content was of high quality and that was more valued. What can I say? I'm still looking for that.
I will not stop posting as long as I continue doing art and because I am a hardhead. But it really bothers me that tell me that I have to write more, that only images is not enough. That if I do the post (in the way that I do not know who says) I'll have better payments and more followers. WTF ?! It's like there is an established formula and if you don't copy that, your posts are crap. So, please, stop advising me on how to make more money with formulas that don't interest me. I will publish as I want, images without words for example. I'm interested in art and that's what I do and upload every day. I would love that "what matters is quality" become a reality one day.
Excuse my outburst. I could continue writing about things that I don't like about Steemit but I leave it there. I trust that this type of social network is the future so I will continue contributing from my place.

Gracias! :))

I also don't think an artist doesn't need to explain themselves for their art. I only do process shots for the sake of dispelling doubt to any reader it's a plagiarized imaged. We have seen the platform post several plagiarized post and authors claiming to be who they are not.

Steemit.com is not suitable for blogging the kind of content you provide as an artist. Your work would be suited in a gallery type of platform that still interacts with the blockchain. Elegance and Artisteem are those platforms that are made suited for artists. But steemit.com isn't. It's like a default site to host written content and less of audiovisual arts.

That is your opinion and it's good for you.
Where are those implicit "laws"? I have never read that steemit is only for written content.

No laws for them. I'm just saying this frontend has not adapted to specific niche content for specific content creators. I mean, audiovisual artists have to post through dtube, vimmtv or youtube and embed their content here on a separate post to be visible as an example. They need a 3rd party DApp. Steemit more oriented to word blogs or micro-blogging.

I don't agree with anything you say.

Girl, don't give up, you work is great and expressive, sometimes words are to much..so do your work and don't pay attention, you can't please everyone, and art is not to please at all!

I got carried away by the accumulation of annoying things I saw around here. Everything is fine! Thank you! ♥

There’s no wrong way here...

That's how it should be.

You can just tell them that you're not interested in such tips :) People are only trying to help, but people are not mind readers.

Communication is the basis of bonds, if you are saying that you are only interested in art as in you are only interested in sharing your art without wanting to engage with the people here, then you should make that clear too.

Self-interest is something that most people don't assume right off the bat in social media. When someone offer you stuff, just tell them your replies and I'm sure people will adapt to your preferences.

I think it's deeper than that. It's not just a personal thing but to see what Steemit is really like. As I said before, maybe I had higher expectations in terms of content and quality.

Well, it is a part of life to always juggle the dissonance between what one expects and what the world really offers. I hope you will temper that dissonance well :)

Well I for one respond to visuals rather than words, I would say 89% of what I upvote is due to the images, strong personally taken photos in particular

I like images! I understand that everyone posts what they want ... I like genuine things, whatever it is. And I see too much stuffing and boring things. Maybe it's me and I still dont find that quality that is proclaimed. Or I had too much expectation!..Thanks for your coment :)
