What technology...?

In the world of increasing technology and more efficient systems why is it we find ourselves working longer hours? Robots and artificial intelligence are hypothesised to replace us and dominate the job markets in the future. Yet we still find to date that all of us in the corporate environment work long hours and are 'slaves' to the system. For me this becomes more vivid everyday when I see the what I will call the 'apocalypse event' every morning where all of us zombies including myself get on the train to work. All out for the same purpose. Work 9-5. This is why you have to have passion in what you do! For those just starting your career you have the asset of 'time' on your hand. Ask yourself if you would do what you're currently doing as a career unpaid? I know I would.

I have no problem with corporate jobs as I work one myself. However what is depressing to know is that taxation prefers the higher income individuals and governments are said to do so much but always have very little to show. The majority of it is in the form of debt with countries like America again reaching its debt ceiling recently. I'm not an advocate of communism. I enjoy the principles of free markets and democracy. However what is made to seem free is not. There are regulations everywhere you go. It is my hope that the future is deregulation and that technologies like cryptocurrency disrupt the system and change the world.

These are all thoughts that filter through my mind and I believe what makes life interesting is the consolidation and discussion of thoughts and opinions. Let me know what you guys think. Comment below and share your opinions.
