My hobbies - #club100
Now my main hobby is photography. Most of my free time is spent on post-processing or shooting. And there was a time when my room was more like a carpentry workshop. In it, I was engaged in making wooden sculptures, dishes, jewelry and many other wood crafts. On the mezzanine I still have a lot of different dry wood for all occasions. There is even a cap, suvel, ebony and mahogany ... it's impossible to list everything.
But now all these blanks are patiently waiting in the wings. Who knows, maybe I will return to the tree again. Today I got into my archive. This sculpture of Veles caught my eye by accident, I plunged into memories and decided to show you these few photos.
This was one of the figures of a rather large order - a series of Slavic Gods. I am not fond of product photography and took these photos just as a keepsake of the order. Now I would have filmed it differently, but now there is no such possibility.
By the way, in the last picture there is a version of the sculpture, which was never realized. The customer did not like the book in his left hand, it reminded him of a Christian image. I had to make another figure of Veles. Also with a book (this is an important symbol), but in a hand down.

Сейчас моим основным увлечением является фотография.Большая часть моего свободного времени уходит на постобработку или съёмку. А было время, когда моя комната была больше похожа на столярную мастерскую. В ней я занимался тем, что делал деревянные скульптуры, посуду, украшения и много разных других поделок из дерева. На антресолях у меня и сейчас много разной сухой древесины на все случаи жизни. Есть даже кап, сувель, чёрное и красное дерево...всего не перечислить.
Но теперь все эти заготовки терпеливо ждут своего часа. Как знать, может быть я вновь вернусь к дереву. Сегодня я залез в свой архив. Эта скульптура Велеса попалась на глаза случайно, я погрузился в воспоминания и решил показать вам эти несколько фото.
Эта была одна из фигур довольно большого заказа - серия Славянских Богов. Я не увлекаюсь предметной съёмкой и сделал эти фото просто на память о заказе. Сейчас я бы снял это иначе, но теперь такой возможности нет.
Кстати, на последнем снимке вариант скульптуры, который так и не был реализован. Заказчику не понравилась книга в левой руке, она напоминала ему христианский образ. Пришлось делать другую фигуру Велеса. Тоже с книгой (это важный символ), но в опущенной вниз руке.
Заготовка осталась у меня и я хочу закончить её уже для себя. Но пока она ждёт своего часа.

Велес вообще мой любимый из всех. Хотел его даже в бронзе сделать. Может даже вот того последнего доведу до ума и отолью)
