Splinterlands - Why is it good to invest more on Splinterlands cards instead of powering up?

in Splinterlands5 years ago

We are all aware of the current situation of Steem. We still don't know in which direction Steem will be taken. We might all get a good benefit out of this or we might end up seeing steem becoming nothing. Whatever be the situation many people already decided to invest more in building their splinterlands deck instead of powering up Steem or powering down steem and taking it out. I'm also going to be doing that for a while now. My account is already in a power-down mode and I have been getting liquid steem from the power down.

Instead of moving my funds from Steem wallet to exchanges and selling them for other currencies, I guess it will be a good one to rather purchase some cards from the market that will be helpful for me in the splinterlands journey. I have also seen many others giving the same suggestion. The reason why it is very good to invest directly on splinterlands cards is that the cards are NFT that are directly pegged with USD instead of STEEM or any other crypto asset. Even if the value of other cryptos falls or raise in this situation, the value of our cards will stay intact because it is pegged with USD.

Please don't take this as any financial advice. I'm just sharing what I thought in my mind and I would not say this is the best method to save the assets or the future of our investments. There is also a risk factor where the value of the cards can also fall down based on the demand and supply and competitions in the splinterlands market as well. I'm able to see the price of Steem fluctuating so much already and I'm not sure what will be the future of steem with the centralized situation that prevails here.
